Sugarflair Gum Arabic – 20gGum Arabic is an edible powder form of a natural gum from the Acacia tree. It has many uses in cake decorating:-Baking: When added to the dry ingredients of a cake mixture, it will add some natural fibre, and assist in rising.Use 2 tspns to a 6 egg mixture.Glue: Mix 2 tsps with 60ml water to make a glue that will stick sugar pieces together.Glaze Varnish: Create your own glaze (mix as for glue) to give a shine to sugar paste and marzipan. This may be increased by adding several layers, allowing each layer to dry before adding another.Once made up, store in a screw top jar in the fridge for several months. You may add a little alcohol to increase the shelf life.
